Total Differential Photometric Mesh Refinement with Self-Adapted Mesh Denoising

چکیده
Variational mesh refinement is a crucial step in multiview 3D reconstruction. Existing algorithms either focus on recovering details or suppressing noise. Approaches with consideration of both are lacking. To address this limitation, we proposed new variational method named total differential (TDR), which mainly included two improvements. First, the traditional partial-differential photo-consistency gradient used was replaced by total-differential gradient. With correlation between adjacent pixels, our can make achieve more effective convergence than approaches. Second, introduced bilateral normal filter novel self-adaptive denoising strategy into refinement. This maintains balance detail preservation and via zero-normalized cross-correlation (ZNCC) map. Various experiments demonstrated that superior to approaches accuracy effect. Moreover, compared generated open-source commercial software (Context Capture), meshes detailed, regular, smooth.

Solution Adapted Mesh Refinement and Sensitivity Analysis for Parabolic Partial Differential Equation Systems
We have developed a structured adaptive mesh refinement (SAMR) method for parabolic partial differential equation (PDE) systems. Solutions are calculated using the finite-difference or finite-volume method in space and backward differentiation formula (BDF) integration in time. The combination of SAMR in space and BDF in time is designed for problems where the fine-scale profile of sharp fronts...
متن کاملMesh refinement with color attributes
Although many sophisticated solutions have been proposed to reduce the geometry complexity of a 3D mesh, few of these take into account color and texture fields, which are fundamental for a visual appearance of high quality. We propose here an innovative solution which combines the concept of hierarchy in refining a mesh with color attributes with mesh regularization. It operates subdividing re...
متن کاملSelf-gravitational Magnetohydrodynamics with Adaptive Mesh Refinement for Protostellar Collapse
A new numerical code, called SFUMATO, for solving self-gravitational magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) problems using adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) is presented. A block-structured grid is adopted as the grid of the AMR hierarchy. The total variation diminishing (TVD) cell-centered scheme is adopted as the MHD solver, with hyperbolic cleaning of divergence error of the magnetic field also implemented...
متن کاملDelaunay Refinement Mesh Generation
Delaunay refinement is a technique for generating unstructured meshes of triangles or tetrahedra suitable for use in the finite element method or other numerical methods for solving partial differential equations. Popularized by the engineering community in the mid-1980s, Delaunay refinement operates by maintaining a Delaunay triangulation or Delaunay tetrahedralization, which is refined by the...
متن کاملMesh Segmentation Refinement
This paper proposes a method for refining existing mesh segmentations, employing a novel extension of the active contour approach to meshes. Given a segmentation, produced either by an automatic segmentation method or interactively, our algorithm propagates the segment boundaries to more appropriate locations. In addition, unlike most segmentation algorithms, our method allows the boundaries to...
